Salmon Bisque

Steamy, creamy, and insanely quick to make, this salmon bisque will warm you up from the inside out.

Serves: 2.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup instant mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup dried powdered milk
  • 1-2 tsp. Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 tsp. dried chives (optional)
  • 1 tsp. granulated garlic
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 6 oz. packet salmon, preferably Patagonia Smoked Salmon

Instructions:

At home: Mix dry ingredients together in ziploc. Pack parmesan cheese separately.

At camp: Boil 1 Liter water. Add dry ingredients to boiling water, stir until combined. Add half the salmon. Take off the heat, cover, and let sit for 10 minutes to rehydrate. Stir in parmesan cheese, reserving some for topping. If necessary, simmer until desired consistency is reached. Top with remaining salmon, and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese.
